January 2, 2011
THE BEST BEGINNERS’ ACTING CLASSES EVER!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone,

The Actors Refuge Repertory Theatre & New African Company, in collaboration with AsianBoston are currently offering Acting Workshops and ensemble opportunities.

A.R.R.T./NewAf.Co./A.B. Acting Workshops will be a comprehensive, exciting and very affordable way to jumpstart for beginners, and to improve your theatrical skills. While working with friendly instructors. Class sizes will be limited to 12 -14 members maximum! There’s still room for you to sign up! We’ve been getting excellent feedback from those who’s taken the classes. Here what some of the students say:

“Fascinating! I never dissected movie scripts like this.” – Tony Yee

“Born and Mariko are excellent teachers! For a complete novice like I am. they made me feel  completely welcome. I was not intimidated at all. Very informative one-day workshop. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about the nuts and bolts of acting and the basic tool chest actors work with.” – Paul Gaynor

“I just like to first thank you guys for the acting class this past saturday. It was 100% helpful and educational. It’s definately worth more than the couple of thousands I have spent on any other class that really didnt teach me anything. I will invest more time to come to your classes. Bourne, you are a great teacher. Where were you when I needed you:).  I like you guys to pass this email to anybody who wanted or are in need of more actting classes, should take your acting classes. I am not saying this because I like you guys. I am saying it because I truly believe that you know what you doing. I dont want others to miss out on your acting classes. The classes are affordable and will be well worth spending for. Bourne, thanks for believing me. I will not forget you when I make it there.” – Kyanna Her

“I am lucky enough to be working with Mariko and have been for sometime now and most recently with Born. Mariko had given me the opportunity to join ARRT, which was my first experience in theatre. She has taught me so much and given me confidence, while creating a fun and safe environment to do so! Working with Born has been a great experience, too! I’m learning more about the process of reading a script, developing a character and having fun in that process! I can share my ideas and prospective which again helps to build confidence as an actor. Working with Mariko and Born has been a lot of fun! They are passionate about what they do, embrace diversity in the group, and it shows!” – Tom Muxie
